In 2007, Simpler Solar Systems designed the Discover House in Carrabelle, Florida. This home received the Auroras Award for the most energy efficient house on record. With a HERS rating of 9, this house uses 9% of the energy of a standard home and has recorded a $0 utility bill for each month to date.
